Quick License Overview

You may

  • Use resources to create end products for sale* See specific quantities below
  • Use resources within personal and commercial/client projects
  • Use resources in multiple projects

But you can’t…

❌ Use resources on their own, as-is. You must combine resources with other original design work and not use them as the primary integrity / design element within a design. Please see the ‘Resource Specific Licensing Details’ below for more details. If unsure please do contact me: hello@lucianatorre.com
❌ Redistribute, sublicense or share resources.
❌ Resell resources as digital stock images/downloads. You may not resell work created from my resources in a way that is seen to compete directly with the original asset purchased. E.g.: Downloading one of my illustration pack, combining the illustrations to create a new illustration/design and reselling this as a downloadable stock image.
❌ Falsely represent authorship and/or ownership of the Licensed Asset.

FAQ

What is a single user license?

A single user license means that only the person who has purchased the bundle or shop product is licensed to use the resources contained within the bundle/shop product. You are allowed to use these resources across 3 active devices as part of your license. All my licenses are single user only. If you require a license for a team, please contact me to organise a team license for you – I simply charge the bundle or shop product price times the amount of licenses you need.

What is meant by an original design?

An original design is a design where purchased resources are not used stand alone but instead are combined with other resources, artwork or original design work, so that your purchased resources do not constitute the primary integrity of the design.

Can I sell my original designs using your graphics on Print-on-Demand (P.O.D) websites?

Yes! You can definitely sell your original designs on P.O.D websites as long as you are uploading and selling a flattened, original design* where the resources cannot be extracted or edited/customised by a third party.
However, uploading original, flattened artwork (such as backgrounds, cards, invitations, etc.) and allowing third parties to add custom text using the P.O.D website’s standard font options is allowed.
Designs must be uploaded flat. A layered PSD, vector file or transparent PNG file is NOT permitted. This means that the Resources may not be uploaded separately allowing the end users to edit and move the graphics.
*An Original Design is achieved by using the graphics or patterns (also known as the Resources) as part of a wider design and not stand-alone. By adding text, backgrounds, other design elements, and overlapping elements, etc., you can create a unique, original design and ensures that Resources cannot be extracted.

How can I sell my End Products using your Resources?

Important considerations to sell your work made with my graphic resources:

  • End Products must be significantly different from the original Resource purchased. You must combine the Resources with other creative elements to ensure licensed Resources are used within a wider design to form an Original Design. An Original Design would be something you put time, effort and skill to produce, ensuring the Resources are not the primary integrity of the Design or End Product. The Resources should be used to facilitate your creative expression resulting in unique work different from the original Resource purchased. The Resources may not be used stand alone (I offer an Enhanced Art License for most of my products should you wish to use the Resources stand alone).
  • End Products may not be used or sold in a way that is directly competitive with the original Resource you purchased.
  • Patterns purchased under the Personal & Commercial License and Extended License may not be used stand alone. They may be used as backgrounds that form part of a wider design, as an overlay, or to fill a specific area within your Original Design. I offer an Enhanced Art License for my royalty-free Patterns should you wish to use them stand alone.
  • End Products may not be sold or supplied in a way that allows for third parties to easily extract the Resources.
  • If you are creating and selling digital end products you would need to ensure that the original resources may not be extracted. Files sold may not be layered or editable and must be supplied flat without access to the original source files used. By adding text, backgrounds, other design elements, and overlapping elements, etc., you can create a unique, original design and ensures that Resources cannot be extracted.

Can I use a pattern to create a new fabric that I sell?

With the Personal and Commercial license or Extended license, yes. However, keep in mind that, under the Personal and Commercial License, your fabric’s design must be significantly different from the original pattern; require time, effort, and skill to produce; and not derive its primary value from the pattern itself. I offer an Enhanced Art License for my royalty-free Patterns should you wish to use them stand alone, and to create and sell unlimited physical or digital end products.

What about if I need to provide my client or printer with original source files?

You are allowed to provide your printer with source files for the sole purpose of printing your work, provided that once the printing has occurred, they will delete all files from their system.
You are not allowed to provide your clients with layered, source files. Instead they should be provided with final, flattened designs. If your client requires access to source files to make changes to your design, they need to purchase their own licence.

Can I use an illustration I purchase from you as my company’s logo?

If you purchase a Personal and Commercial or Extended license, you may use an illustration as part of your logo, as long as the illustration is modified and not the dominant element of the logo. I offer an Enhanced Art License for most of my products should you wish to use the Resources stand alone, and to create and sell unlimited physical or digital end products.

Can I use a graphic in my product’s label or packaging?

With a Personal and Commercial license, yes. Since packaging counts as an End Product, the Personal and Commercial license allows you to create up to 5.000 lifetime packages, and the Extended Commercial license allows for 250.000. With these both type of license, your packaging or label must be significantly different from the original asset; require time, effort, and skill to produce; and not derive its primary value from the graphic itself.
I offer an Enhanced Art License for most of my products should you wish to use the Resources stand alone, and to create and sell unlimited physical or digital end products.
